System of record for enterprise value

Every system measures something. None of them agree.

Tiepoint is being built to take telemetry from everything you run, resolve it into one coordinate system, and attribute the result to outcomes your business already reports on.

In development. Nothing on this page describes a generally available product, and no figures shown here are drawn from customer data.

01The situation

The question moved. The tooling didn't.

Every AI tool can tell you how much it was used. None can tell you what it was worth.

What the tooling counts
Counted

Activity. Tokens, seats, prompts and sessions, counted precisely by every tool you own.

What the board asks
Not measured

Return. Measured by none of them.

02Why it's hard

Three ways the number breaks

A survey that only agrees with itself is worthless. So is a dashboard.

01

Usage is not value

Tokens, seats and prompts count activity. An outcome lives in another system entirely.

02

Everyone claims the same dollar

Three groups report the same win. Added up, it exceeds what the company earned.

03

Anecdote is not evidence

"About 20%" is a survey result. It does not survive an auditor.

03The approach

A ledger, not a report

Attribution redistributes value. It never creates it. Totals reconcile by construction.

VALUE THAT EXISTED REPORTED Additive reporting Three claims. One dollar. RESOLVED Conserved attribution Shares move. The total does not.

Illustrative. Proportions only — no figures are claimed here.

04What we're building

Tiepoint is the system of record for enterprise value

A tie point is the feature visible from two separate positions — the shared reference that lets independent measurements resolve into a single coordinate system. Four properties the platform is being built around:

Conserved

Attribution redistributes value. It never creates it.

Traceable

Every figure traces to a measured event.

Continuous

Recomputed as the business runs, not assessed once.

Independent

We don't sell the tools we grade.

05The model

Five pillars, one number

Weights configurable per organisation. Each pillar dollarized underneath, each carrying its own confidence.

Business Outcome
Revenue, pipeline, cost avoidance.
Productivity
Time recovered against a declared baseline.
Seat Utilisation
Licensed capacity against realised capacity.
Governance
Exposure and control coverage.
Quality
Output quality delta, from the systems that already record it.
06Security & privacy

Tiepoint measures what systems produce. It doesn't read what people write.

The design commitment is metadata only: who used which tool, when, how much, and which outcome it touched in the systems you nominate. Not prompt or response content, not keystroke, screen or clipboard capture, and nothing crossing your tenant to train a model. Work and personal are separated, and personal never enters organisational rollups.

07Design partners

We're selecting a small number of design partners

The intent is to build against real environments rather than assumptions. If the value question is being asked in your organisation and the answer is currently thin, get in touch. We read every enquiry, and will only be able to work with a few.
